Love this time of the Christmas season and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Let's all have some fun this Christmas Holiday Season!!!

Winter is coming to the Oregon Coast...so much for Global Warming!

Today is December 13, 2008 and we had a good Pre-Winter storm on the Oregon Coast last night. Today the waves were high and strong and you can see the clouds have much mositure. It was very cold when I was taking this video...44 degrees and the wind chill factor made it feel much colder. I love the Oregon Coast and the changing moods of the ocean.

Getting ready for the Christmas Holidays

Mom always knocks herself out when it comes to decorating the tree, and with all the tree trimmings and her collection of the Walmart Annual Teddy Bears. This tree is beautiful! Yes, the tree is artifical with it's blinking white lights, and with it's colorful fiber optic stands always ever changing in color and intensity.
Let us all enjoy the Christmas Season this year and make this a Christmas to remember with family and friends, and in bringing Christmas to others. See ya!
Mom always likes to decorate the house when it comes to the Christmas Season. You can see the stockings are hung (just the two of us now), and her Christmas Bears are out. Guess one of the bears is the Mama Bear and one is Papa Bear? We are looking forward to spending our time together as a family. We love you all and we feel very blessed!!!

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving!

We were fortuante this Thanksgiving to have been invited to share a gorgeous hideaway home in the woods with Erin and Lane and Andy and Marcia Oshita. The setting in Alleghany (23 miles outside of Coos Bay, Oregon) was just simply beautiful. Fall colors...trees, waterfalls, natural settings...tucked away from civilization. What a treat to getaway and share Thanksgiving blessings with people we love. Enjoying baby Cooper was a side benefit. The first slide shows are of the house we all stayed at. The house was unbelieveable in design. Really large beams and several types of lumber used in construction of this unique house. We all really enjoyed each other and had a sumptuous Thanksgiving meal.

The second slide show is our walk to the Silver and Gold Falls and the beautiful surroundings.

Finally, no bright yellow guest room.

John worked hard painting our ugly bright yellow faux finished walls in the spare guestroom. We picked the same soft sage color Michelle and Ryan have in their home. New white panel curtains finish off the new look for visitors. Need to find LARGE white lamps for proportion - soon! Now John will soon tackle the spare bath with sage satin paint.

Chase is a "Superstar" and we love to watch him play!

Soccer season is over, and this video was taken a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Roseburg. We visited with Lane, Erin and little Cooper. Also visited with Ryan, Michelle, Alison, Chase and little Evan. It's great to be together with family members.

Chase is most like his father...loves those cars!

As a grandfather, I must confess that I have helped Chase in some small ways by adding a few cars to his collection. I see the great joy that comes to him in his car collection passion. I always say to Chase that we should give some of his car collection to those less fortunate, but he's not ready to do that yet. Love you Chase!

Lane, Erin and Cooper come to Newport

Mason and little Cooper are getting to know each other!
Erin, Lane and Cooper are visiting Liz just shortly after her back operation. This photo was taken just prior to attending church. Always great to have them come and visit.

We love all of our sons, their spouces, our grandchildren and seeing our family unit grow!

Michelle, Alison, Chase and Evan visit in Corvallis

Liz had to make a trip to Corvallis this last week to the doctor and while Adam and his family were visiting, we were able to get together with Michelle, Alison, Chase and Evan and meet up at a pizza restaurant. We all had good food (thanks to Adam), and the children had a chance to share good times in the play area. Michelle has many more great photos posted on her blog site then I was able to take. Check out her blog site.

it's a slow weekend.....

So I got my hair cut. I really like it and by next couple of haircuts it will actually be the desired look. Some of my sons have been known to say my hair has always been the same. This is pretty different.

You know it's a slow day when you find yourself taking an action video of the saltwater fish tank. but then again John has waited a long time to get this tank. There are eight fish and the Yellow Tang is one of the favorites. Eight fish in a 40 gallon tank...SWEET.

Hope you enjoy this video as much as we find ourselves watching them.

Trip last weekend to Roseburg

We just arrived in time to Roseburg and got see see Chase and Alison in a performance of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. They were great in their performance and received awards at the end of the performance.

Chase is in the back row, second from the left.

A very nice performance by all, and thanks to those who made it possible.
